Gunnison County gives back to energy efficient members

Gunnison County Electric Association has more than doubled the amount of money budgeted for its energy efficiency programs since 2008.  To reduce skyrocketing demands for electricity, the co-op has promoted education, technical assistance, and rebate programs to residential and business customers.

For United Power, electricity efficiency isn’t just about saving energy; it’s about helping out.  While conserving energy for the sake of the environment has become a significant focus in the last few decades, the co-op has cared about efficiency for longer than the political climate has made it popular.  Their first concern has always been their customers, and efficiency benefits customers.
